In Half in the Bag: 10 Best Horror Movies (2024), Part 1 (2024)
Synopsis
The author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to find the town's inhabitants attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire. Author Gary Dauberman told Den of Geek in June 2019 that his goal with the new Salem's Lot was to make vampires scary again. He wants to move away from the more glamorous, romanticized undead that have permeated pop culture for the past quarter-century, from Interview with the Vampire to Twilight to The Vampire Diaries. When Ben reads old newspapers on microfilm at the library, the headline reads, "Local Couples Victims of DUIs." The newspaper was supposedly published in 1956, when the term "under the influence" was not yet in use.
Okay, I just reviewed one of my favorite Stephen King novels
Sundown Written and Performed by Gordon Lightfoot Courtesy of Warner Records Courtesy of Warner Music Group Film & TV Licensing. I really enjoyed the 1979 version, which I watched with longing when I was 15. I’ve been looking forward to watching this movie for a while now, at least since the rumors of a remake started. It wasn’t terrible, I gave it a six (maybe that’s an exaggeration) because it was watchable.
The acting was just okay
I was really hoping they could make a remake for the amount of money they spent on the script, acting, and everything else that “It” had in the last remake. Everything about this movie was a little off. The character development was almost non-existent. They could have done a better job of making the characters interesting.
Why remake something if not to make it special!
I thought the ending was rushed, the ending of the intro was awful, some of them should have really hit the brakes! Why? Stephen King is a great writer and if the production is done well it should be great. Very disappointing...
