Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo expert
Synopsis
A Montana farming family encounters others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to his usual SoCal voice.
Reminiscent of Rock Hudson in The Giant, he tries to stick to the old ways
Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows Off Your Radar (2018) Kevin Costner is the patriarch who runs a dynastic ranch the size of some countries. His way of life is threatened by resort developers, tribal rights, and the Montana state government. “Yellowstone” moves quickly with little introduction, but its story unfolds at the natural pace of a day in the desert, stopping for tribal rituals, cowboy conventions, and political machinations.
Land and family are the source of his life
It’s a farcical affair that straddles the boundaries of law and justice, family and friendship. Costner seems like a natural choice to fill his character’s shoes. He’s a world-weary man who’s seen too much and lied too many times.
Updated 7/20/2018: After four episodes, the voice of this series is strong and persistent
He hears footsteps coming toward him, but can only play his part out of habit as much as loyalty. While some of the action is a bit confusing due to the lack of explanation, it feels natural, as if the viewer is getting a real glimpse of life in another world. I hope the resolution of this saga has an emotional payoff that justifies its scope and attention to detail.

We learn the fullness of each story, from the roots to the fruits. I’m raising the rating to a “9.” New season of “Shilo”; is one of the biggest TV premieres and broadcasts this month.
