Three members of an extended Afghan family begin their lives as refugees in Iran, where they face a decades-long struggle to stay in the “land of brothers.” The film manages to capture the essence, complications, and heartbreaking moments of political conflict, relationships, culture, and the harshness of reality. The filmmakers were able to capture the themes, tone, and writing of each of the three stories with good emotions, interesting characters, and tense and depressing moments. The core of the film’s message and purpose and the emotions between the characters really brought out the essence of the film. The cinematography, production design, and soundtrack are beautiful. There were touching moments that made me feel sad watching it. Personally, the first and third stories remain the most impactful. Although the second one had some flaws in its pacing, it was still a good one. Overall, the film tries to be another good Iranian film.
