Kaya Scodelario's character Laura Harrison is fictional
Synopsis
Fictional miniseries about the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva, the Brazilian racing legend who won the Formula 1 World Championship three times. She is based on journalists who covered Ayrton Senna's career. In addition, Scodelario's family is of Brazilian descent and comes from Senna's home state of São Paulo. She is also fluent in Brazilian Portuguese. Early races in Senna's career in England are shown on a race track next to a mountain range.
This is boring and superficial
There are no mountains in England - especially not in Norfolk, which is famous for its flat landscape. It is quite obvious that the Senna-da Silva family had a hand in it, and a very strict one at that. Senna is described as a saint. He is always friendly and nice and puts up with everything that is done to him. There are no conflicts except with Prost and Balestre.
He is the best
The dialogues are so incredibly flat, any daily soap is literature in comparison. I want to be the first. I am the fastest. I want to win. But it is dangerous!
That had potential
But I want to win. But you have already won. But I want to win again. And Senna's affairs with women? Did he have no vices? There are no such people.
His parents also seem like saints
But when his mother is involved in the script... Always understanding, always patient, friendly, forgiving and noble. Yes, of course. The action images are first class though. Not quite groundbreaking, but very impressive. The sound design in particular was amazing.
