Siren or myth?

Synopsis

Partenope is a woman who bears the name of her city. In Greek myth, Parthenope is the siren who committed suicide after failing to enchant Odysseus. His body was carried by the tide to the place where the Castel dell'Ovo is now built, and thus gave the name to the city that would later become Neapolis, Naples.

What is Parthenope if not a love letter to the young?

So I declare: a new Diva is born, an eternally young star who is eternally young. With Celeste, the film seems to be looking for only the best shots and poetic quotes. The narrative is loose and the plot is basically non-existent because the film cares more about chasing aesthetics than building a coherent story.

It's an artistic choice that some may love and others may hate. I love Celeste dalla Porta in this movie and I am more than happy.
